Hey Benji, now I know probably tons of people tell you this but I just gotta let you know how much Good Charlotte has been an inspiration on my life. When I starting listening to you guys, I had the urge to learn how to play the guitar. Soon after, I had my first guitar and was teaching myself how to play (as well as listening to GC albums in my basement and pretending to perform them to an audience haha).
Thanks to you guys I found 2 very important things in my life. My passion and my dream. I decided to pursue music and start a band of my own. I also studied music in college. My whole life now revolves around music every single day and it’s all because GC helped me find my passion for it. I can’t thank you guys enough!!
I’m still pursuing my band and we’re working hard to follow in your footsteps. 2 weeks ago we played the biggest show yet and performed at Yonge-Dundas Square (which is the Toronto version of Times Square). Playing there has always been a goal of ours. But now we’re moving onto bigger goals in hopes that we can one day do what you guys do. Perform for thousands of people all over the world and inspire them just like you did for me.
It’s not only about your music but you and the guys as people as well. I really look up to you guys and admire all that you do. I met you and the band at Bamboozle last year and I couldn’t believe how down to earth you all are. It’s great to see how much you care about the people who support you and how you make sure to take some time to say thanks during every single show. Anyways, I hope one day to make a living doing what I love to do just as you do, performing and writing music. Keep on doin’ what you guys do best. Thanks for changing my life :)
